My, my, how life flies by! For Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial kick-off of summer, right? Making me think vacations, kids home, and lots of R & R...
Included in Rest and Relaxation is usually time for movies and books. Sequels like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Hangover, Part II are sure to get crowds. And while not exactly a sequel, I happened to see that Season Four of True Blood begins next month. As far as books, Libba Bray has Beauty Queens is just hitting shelves, as does Sarah Dessen’s What Happened to Goodbye.
All those sound good! But I’ll probably spend most of my time trying to catch up on the books and DVDs already around my house. In fact, I’m on book two of The Hunger Games trilogy right now!
How about you? What are you looking forward to watching and reading this summer?

This Memorial Day weekend, I'll be trying to finish my last semester work.
There are a ton of good books coming out. I'm looking forward to seeing the last Harry Potter movie. But alas, it debuts when I return to campus and have to start thinking of getting my master's thesis written. (Sigh!!)
I have three boxes of books and manga that I have set aside to finish during the summer which I am looking forward to digging in to.
Good luck with your master's thesis, Lin!
Cherie, sounds like you've got some fun this summer!
Looking forward to all the books on my shelf that I've bought but haven’t read yet...I always feel that because there aren’t due dates on them I should save them for a day I don't have overdue library books. Which just happens to be never ;)
In particular I'm craving Winter Shadows by Margaret Buffie, Wake by Lisa Mcmann and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.
Hurry up summer.... ;)
Aliya, great book choices and thanks for sharing with us!
I'm super excited for some new books coming out. I can't wait to read Crossed by Ally Condie (Matched was superb) and Supernaturally by Kiersten White! (Paranormalcy was fantastic) They are both the second books in trilogies (which aren't my fave) but the first in their series were soooooo goood! Glad you're enjoying Hunger Games and hope you like the end of the series. It's quite the topic of controversy and I am anxious to hear what you think:)
