Joining the 21st Century

Okay, look what my family is getting me for my birthday:

Yes, contrary to my claims that CD players are just fine for me, I've been talked into joining the 21st Century. And I'm going to admit, I'm getting excited about it. This past weekend I opened an iTunes account and was astonished by all the music I could download...even stuff that's old and UNhip. (You know, like me.)

So I'm turning to our readers today to ask for download suggestions--songs, comedy routines, whatever. Let's get me up to speed, huh?

I have various artists on my iPod...Pink, Taylor Swift, Nickelback, Eagles, Green Day. haha! Let us know what type of music you enjoy!

No matter how unhip you think you are, I'm a 20 year old who has yet to own an ipod, so you're still way hipper than me. :P

Thanks, Kelly...and I didn't know you liked the Eagles! Did I ever tell you I went backstage to one of their concert after parties? Oops, just "dated" myself, and yes, it was the '80's.

LOL, Heather...it's all really about expressing our individuality, huh, with or without an iPod!

I can't live without my iPod. If anything happened to my precious baby... I'd die! and then get another one.

Tina,

Best part of my mp3 player?

I can listen to several books, podcasts, and playlists at the same time.

Well, not at the same time per se, but I can take a break from The ABC's of Kissing Boys to workout to my dance music playlist, and then click right back to where I left off on my walk home.

Ahhhh, technology.

Thanks, Summer!

Marie, loved your take on the MP3!

And as a nod to the King of Pop, who of course, we all lost today, I'd like to add that I was a fan of many of his '70's and '80's songs, which will surely find their way on my iPod, too.

Tina,

I have yet to get an iPod. I have a friend who uses her in the classroom all of the time and is always trying to talk me into getting one.
If I had one I would have to have most of my favorite 80's music like John Cougar Mellancamp, Michael Jackson, Cars, Police, Rolling Stones, and Aerosmith to begin with. I would put current music on as well but the 80's would be the first to be loaded.
Have fun no matter what you download.
How cool that you went backstage at an Eagle's concert.

I've got Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, Jason Mraz, Van Morrison, Eddie Veder, some classic rock, Lenka, Rascal Flatts... and a bunch more. Pretty eclectic. :)

I can't go anywhere without my iPod.Even if I'm just going out to get groceries I must have my iPod faithfully at my side, and beside MP3s don't get all scratched up and lost under your car seats!

You know, I still do not own an iPod. Is it sad that I borrow my 9 year old niece's when I go to work out?

My vote is that you give Seether a try.
