A Really Awesome Mess, the Giveaway!

We were lucky to get an Advanced Reader Copy of an already-being-talked-about novel, A Really Awesome Mess by Trish Cook and Brendan Halpin, which releases this July.

But one lucky commenter can read it next week!

A hint of Recovery Road, a sample of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, and a cut of Juno. A Really Awesome Mess is a laugh-out-loud, gut-wrenching/heart-warming story of two teenagers struggling to find love and themselves.

Two teenagers. Two very bumpy roads taken that lead to Heartland Academy. Justin was just having fun, but when his dad walked in on him with a girl in a very compromising position, Justin's summer took a quick turn for the worse. His parents' divorce put Justin on rocky mental ground, and after a handful of Tylenol lands him in the hospital, he has really hit rock bottom.

Emmy never felt like part of her family. She was adopted from China. Her parents and sister tower over her and look like they came out of a Ralph Lauren catalog-- and Emmy definitely doesn't. After a scandalous photo of Emmy leads to vicious rumors around school, she threatens the boy who started it all on Facebook.

Justin and Emmy arrive at Heartland Academy, a reform school that will force them to deal with their issues, damaged souls with little patience for authority. But along the way they will find a ragtag group of teens who are just as broken, stubborn, and full of sarcasm as themselves. In the end, they might even call each other friends.

A funny, sad, and remarkable story, A Really Awesome Mess is a journey of friendship and self-discovery that teen readers will surely sign up for.

To be entered to win, go to the comments and own up to a mess in your life.  (Your locker?  The trunk of your car?  Your hair?  Your book shelf?)   And then check back next Tuesday, May 28 to learn the winner.  Good luck!

My purse! No matter how big, I manage to fill it to the brim with the most inane stuff!

I thought I'd weigh in on the mess stuff: for me, it the space under my bed. It's where I slide old photo albums, wall calendars, posters, diplomas...in fact, when we eventually move, I'll probably found all the missing socks there, too!

What isn't a mess in my life? My nail polish drawer is probably the worst.

My office. My kitchen table. And on more days than not, my hair!

As a teacher at the end of the school year, the biggest mess in my life is behind my desk in my classroom. Bags, papers, piles of professional materials, books, papers, more papers, cords, papers to file, papers to grade. Ack!!

My car is the worst, although my office is a close second.

My bedroom. I'm sitting here drowning in clothing, snack wrappers, beauty products, and BOOKS. I feel like everything is closing in on me..... help. No seriously. Help.

Reform love! From your summary the book seems to be about a group of teens whose life just has not gone right or is a mess. I am a bit confused to why you would ask your readers to own up to physical messes to win and not personal messes.
