Friday Fresh Giveaway!

Okay, this is soooo cool: Meg Cabot donated three copies of her March 18, 2008 release paperback, How to Be Popular, as a contest giveaway for YA FRESH!

All you have to do to be entered is leave us a comment. And if you’d like to tell us your favorite Meg Cabot book, please do! Three winners will be announced on Monday morning, chosen at random.

In case you haven’t had a chance to pick this book up yet, Seventeen calls it “Hysterical,” and Publisher’s Weekly, “Genuine and funny.”

Here is the publisher’s blurb:

Ever since a fatal mistake involving a cherry Super Big Gulp, everyone in Steph Landry’s town knows her name is synonymous with screwing up (thanks to Lauren Moffat, Steph’s nemesis and victim of said Super Big Gulp disaster).

But now all of that’s about to change, thanks to one little old book called How to Be Popular. All Steph has to do is follow the instructions in The Book, and soon she’ll be partying with the It Crowd (including school quarterback Mark Finley), instead of sitting around on Saturday nights with her nerdy best pal, Becca, and even nerdier Jason (now kind of hot, but that’s beside the point.)

When her plan goes perfectly, Steph finds out that it’s easy to become popular—but she learns the hard way that staying popular is a lot more difficult.

* * *

Sounds terrific--I know! So jump over to the comments section right now and enter. Best of luck and see you back here on Monday!

Awesome contest. My favorite Meg Cabot book...hm. Well, can I say the Mediator series? It's more than one book, but I love the whole series equally.

Ah Meg :) My favorite series by her is 1800, and then Mediator. She was a big, big influence for me when I was a tween!

I don't think I ever wanted to be part of the popular crowd. I thought it was such an act. And I like her Princess Diaries series.

I have only read the first three Princess Diaries but I am planning on reading more of Meg Cabot's books and I would love to add this one to the pile. I have All American Girl and the first in the Mediator series sitting right here on my desk staring at me.

Meg Cabot is awesome.

She was probably my introduction to YA and to the fact that writing can be informal and funny...and well, awesome. Ha ha.

AVALON HIGH is my favorite.

Gah! i love Meg Cabot!! i have read almost all of her books, i haven't though, read How To Be Popular...yet!

My favorite would have to be her Mediator series...that ghost Jesse sounded waaay hott. Why is it though that only fictional girls can share bedrooms with the hott dead?

Count me in? Thank you!

My favorite book by Meg Cabot would have to be All American Girl. I remember I first read it when I was 12 or 13 and I fell in love with that novel. No matter how many times I read it, it NEVER gets old.

To pick one book from such a prolific and great author would be to reveal too much about me- I think. I love every book and I identify with every gurl. Of course The Princess Diaries is a classic. I still have some I haven't read yet but I have every book Meg has written. There are a few characters that are so me it is frightening that Meg has entered my mind so completely..
