Something Fun!
I accepted a foreign rights offer this week to release TOP TEN USES FOR AN UNWORN PROM DRESS in Indonesia! I am delighted that the book will be available in foreign markets, and can’t wait to see my words translated.
So that made me think about the country of Indonesia, and the TOP FIVE things I know about it (mostly courtesy of Wikipedia, that is):
--It is made up of 17,508 islands.
--Jakarta is the capital.
--The official language is Indonesian.
--It is the 4th most populous country in the world.
--At least one publishing house there has very good taste in teen fiction! :)
I hope something fun happens in your life this week, too.

Thanks, Kelly and Steph! Yeah, it certainly made my week! :)
That's awesome! Was just browsing your sight and your book looks awesome!
Just thought I'd try and find another fun fact for you about Indonesia and here's what I came up with:
There are about 70 million kids in Indonesia--that means 70 million potential book sales!
and:
In Bali you could get change for money back in candy because money is worth so little.
(not sure I believe that one, but it sounds good to me!)
Hey, Alex, thanks for browsing my site and your interest in my book! And wow, another Indonesian fun fact to add to my list! I appreciate you helping me out. :)
Tina
Congrats! That's exciting! Wow, I can't imagine the thrill seeing your words in a different language would be. :)
Thanks, Lisa! :) Yep, this is going to be thilling to see.
Wow, Tina. That's so exciting!!!
Thanks, Sara. And hey, Indonesia is out there in your neck of the woods, right, north of Australia? You're in NZ, right?
Tina
Yeah, Susan, I've only recently gotten the Wikipedia bug, but now it's like my first reference point on everything...
Thanks!
Congrats, Tina! You must be thrilled. This is my first visit to this site, and it's great!
I've been to Bali, and the island is gorgeous--lots of rugged, natural beauty. One thing to add, though, is that they have flying cockroaches! But teens there will be so into your book, I'm sure they won't even notice. ;-)
Hey, Natalie, thanks for finding us at YA FRESH!
And flying cockroaches, huh? Wow, I'd need more than a book to hide me from them! LOL.
And now that you've found us, don't be a stranger! :)
Tina
Congratulation!
You've done it greatly.
Where do you live?
I'm the real Indonesian, hehehe..
