First up of our author-friends to share with us their favorite holiday-themed movie is the sweet and funny Wendy Toliver. Who tells us she has two favorite movies, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Elf.
“Because,” she tell is, “they are hysterical and movies the whole family, from babies to great-grandparents, can enjoy year after year.”
Sounds wonderful! I’m going to have to check them out. And at the same time, I encourage you to check out Wendy’s two latest books, Miss Match and Lifted, which comes out in June!
ELF is definitely a popular one! Thanks for sharing, Wendy!!
ReplyDeleteI love A Christmas Story. I can watch it all day.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices, Wendy, and thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having me, Tina and Kelly! Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love LOVE Christmas Vacation, showed it to my parents at Thanksgiving - they'd never seen it. So much fun to watch them laugh at all my fave bits. :)
ReplyDeleteI always love Wendy's selections but for the best it is Christmas Story and the Red Ryder BB gun and tongue stuck on a pole, that is may fav. I loved The Nativity Story and my third is Die Hard ?huh you say? well they play Beethoven and there are Christmas songs and it is the first movie I saw with lots of cussing and everybody almost gets shot. (I think my maybe BF likes that one and I will watch it with him and squirm at the right places and need to be cuddle protected.) What a great Christmas movie, hehe.
ReplyDeleteOoo, I liked that one too, Anna, but you're right; I would never have associated it with Xmas.
ReplyDeleteNor would I, Wendy. Great choice, Anna!
ReplyDeleteAnd Leigh, yes, isn't it fun to rewatch favorite parts of movies?
I love both those movies. Great fun!
