Here's what the story is about:
Delia Truesdale has no idea her life's about to change forever. She's too busy enjoying the California summer. Her internet tycoon mother, T.K. Truesdale, is out of town, and that means Delia can spend all her time at the beach, surfing. That is, until everything unravels.
Her mother suddenly goes missing, and everyone thinks she's dead - excpet Delia, who knows T.K.'s way too organized to simply disappear. But Delia's still sent to New York to live with her two aunts - a downtown bohemian and an uptown ice queen.
And in case that's not bad enough, she also has to deal with a snooty new school and trying not to fall for the wrong guy. Oh, and finding her mother.
As she delves deeper into the tangle of conspiracies and lies surrounding T.K.'s disappearance, Delia begins to suspect that the wrong guy may be the right guy...and that some secrets - especially the dangerous ones - were never meant to be unraveled.

Wow, sounds wonderful! I have always loved mysteries, so I don't know if I have just one favorite, but loved Nancy Drew. In fact, have been meaning to see the Emma Roberts' movie version...
ReplyDeleteFavorite mystery - wow that's really hard because I LOVE mysteries. But I can't help gobbling up the Stephanie Plum series my Janet Evanovich. They're just so outrageous and laugh to you cry funny not to mention a bit scary at times.

My favorite mysteries were The Hardy Boys. They always were gettin into a scrape of some kind or another!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite mystery movie is a toss up between The Bone Collector and Taking Lives. I LOVE both of these movies and could watch them once a day without tiring of them. Plus Angelina Jolie is awesome in both!

ReplyDeleteOkay, this is completely showing some age on me, but I've always had a thing for the original Pink Panther Movies. Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau is phenomenal. So I put in my vote for the slapstick detective, mystery ;)

ReplyDeleteMy favortie mystery book is Let Me Call You Sweethart by Mary Higgins Clark. On the television side of things, Castle is my favorite detective mystery series. The main character is an author. Does that earn me extra points? :)

I love Betsy Brannon Green's mysteries. Until Proven Guilty is one of my favorites. Her mysteries are just dripping with romance which gives them a fun twist!
